Built between concrete and coastline, we created our own perspective on surf culture: raw, real and unapologetically our own. We’re a hands-on and culture-driven team of surfers, designers and creatives building a brand we believe in. We work closely together, think independently and make things that feel true to who we are.

MARKETING INTERN
Amsterdam | 4–5 days per week | On-Site | Flexible start date
Ben jij graag bezig met marketing, campagnes, fashion en content? Houd je makkelijk overzicht, en vind je het ook leuk om zelf mee te organiseren, creëren, schrijven en aanpakken? Dan zoeken wij jou.
Als Marketing Stagiair bij New Amsterdam Surf Association werk je direct samen met het marketingteam. Je helpt campagnes, productdrops en andere marketingprojecten van voorbereiding tot uitvoering te brengen. Daarnaast werk je mee aan social content, onze online journal, shoots en activaties.
Dit is geen stage waarin je alleen meekijkt. Je krijgt duidelijke verantwoordelijkheden, werkt mee aan echte campagnes en helpt ervoor te zorgen dat informatie, assets, deadlines en resultaten op het juiste moment samenkomen.
WAT GA JE DOEN:
Campagnes, planning & productie
● Ondersteunen bij de planning en uitvoering van campagnes, productdrops, launches en partnerships
● Voorbereiden van briefings, meetings en productoverzichten en verzamelen van productinformatie, campagnematerialen en deliverables
● Hands-on ondersteunen rondom grotere campagneproducties: samples en styling voorbereiden, behind-the-scenescontent maken en praktische support bieden vóór, tijdens en na de productie
● Meehelpen bij store-activaties, events, kleinere shoots en PR werkzaamheden
Content & journal
● Meewerken aan social content, zoals TikToks, behind-the-scenescontent, formatadaptaties en conceptcaptions
● Het team helpen de website en online journal actueel te houden, bijvoorbeeld door onderwerpen te onderzoeken, teksten te schrijven, foto’s te selecteren en artikelen te plaatsen
Rapportage & research
● Resultaten uit social, e-commerce, PR, events en paid media verzamelen en structureren en ondersteunen bij campagne-evaluaties en learnings
● Trends, concurrenten en relevante creators volgen en de belangrijkste voorbeelden en bevindingen verzamelen voor het marketingteam
WIE ZOEKEN WIJ:
● Je volgt een relevante opleiding en bent minimaal vier maanden beschikbaar voor vier of vijf dagen per week vanuit ons kantoor in Amsterdam
● Je hebt interesse in fashion, surf, cultuur en branding, hebt gevoel voor beeld, social content en storytelling
● Je bent proactief en niet bang om je handen uit de mouwen te steken
● Je bent georganiseerd en vindt het leuk om planningen, informatie en verschillende mensen bij elkaar te brengen
● Je spreekt en schrijft goed Nederlands en Engels
● Een rijbewijs en ervaring met marketing, campagne- of contentproductie, social content, editing of rapportage zijn een plus

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN

Are you creative, visually driven and excited to bring ideas to life within a dynamic and concept-driven environment? We are looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for graphic design to support our creative team.
As a Graphic Design Intern at New Amsterdam Surf Association, you will support the team in creating visual assets across a wide range of projects. From campaign concepts to layouts and brand materials, you will contribute to the creative output of a growing fashion brand based in Amsterdam.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
● Contribute to the development of graphic concepts for campaigns, social media, lookbooks and other visual outputs
● Create layouts, illustrations and supporting graphics in line with our brand identity
● Build and maintain brand assets and visuals for internal and external communication
● Participate in brainstorm sessions and creative meetings, contributing ideas and references
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
● You are currently enrolled in a Graphic Design, Visual Communication or similar design-related program
● You are 18 years or older
● You are available for at least 32 hours per week, for a minimum of 4 months and will work primarily from our office by the water in Amsterdam
● You have a strong sense of aesthetics, typography, composition and brand identity
● You are proficient in Adobe programs (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign required; additional software is a plus)
● You communicate clearly in English (Dutch is not required)
● You are confident in creating and presenting moodboards

FASHION DESIGN INTERN

Are you passionate about fashion design, visually sharp, and confident in technical drawing? Do you want to see your ideas develop from concept to final product in a creative and hands-on environment? We’re looking for a Fashion Design Intern with a strong eye for detail and a clear interest in design to support our team.
As a Fashion Design Intern for New Amsterdam Surf Association, you will dive into the creative process, helping us bring our designs to life. You’ll work alongside the design team and contribute to the development of designs from initial concept through to final product.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
● Support the design team in creating detailed technical drawings
● Assist in the development of the collection from concept to final product
● Participate in brainstorm sessions and fittings, contributing ideas and feedback
● Prepare moodboards, collection overviews, and fabric archives
● Help organise and maintain the design archive
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
● You are currently enrolled in, or have completed, a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design
● You are 18 years or older
● You are available for 32+ hours a week, for at least 4 months
● You have a strong eye for detail, fashion, and trends, and know how to translate ideas into concepts that fit our brand
● You have strong technical drawing and (digital) fashion illustration skills
● You are proficient in Adobe Illustrator; experience with other software is a plus
● You communicate clearly in both Dutch and English, written and spoken
● You work independently, stay organised, and adapt easily within a fast-paced team environment
● You are creative and think ‘out-of-the box’
● You are enthusiastic, proactive, and confident in presenting your ideas
